Colorado Springs, January 12----America’s long love affair with its automobiles continues this summer in Colorado Springs in a big way. That’s because Vintage Cars will be back again for the 87th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on July 19.
Vintage entries will be coordinated by Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing, a non-profit club of more than 500 members who are vintage racing enthusiasts. The club’s primary focus is the organization, production, and sanctioning of vintage car races in the Rocky Mountain region. It has over 500 eligible cars that are three decades old or more, including Austin Healey, Corvette, Lotus, MG, Mini, Porsche, Triumph, Formula Ford and Formula Vee. In addition, some more exotic and perhaps lesser known names such as McLaren, Lola, Abarth, Morgan, Siata and Zink participate in their events.
